Psychological Safety - Fad or Fundamental?

Psychological safety is the number one predictor of high-performance teamwork. It is the enabling condition that encourages team members to speak up with ideas, feedback, concerns and mistakes. As a result, it enhances engagement, creativity, problem-solving and productivity.

Being able to cultivate psychological safety is the must-have skill of any leader wanting to flourish in our modern VUCA world. However, in many cases, creating such an environment can be challenging.

In this masterclass, we:

  • explore the background science of psychological safety, and why it is important for high-performance teamwork
  • examine tools for measuring psychological safety in the workplace
  • explore common reasons why cultivating psychological safety can be challenging
  • explore practical tools and techniques for cultivating psychological safety, and overcoming common challenges
  • develop a practical personalised action plan for better fostering psychological safety in your personal context
