Dr Charlie Hargroves is a Senior Lecturer with the Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre (ECIC) at the University of Adelaide and has published numerous books, journal papers and industry reports. Charlie has studied the application of Blockchain technologies since 2017, and in 2021 Charlie designed, and now delivers, the University’s first dedicated course on applied Blockchain. The course focuses on understanding the utility of Blockchain Technology in order to identify entrepreneurial opportunities in a number of sectors. Charlie advises an ASX listed South Australian company on how to harness the potential of Blockchain in the supply chain. Charlie pioneered the application of Blockchain to transport and urban systems with the Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre (SBEnrc) and is an expert advisor to the United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD). Charlie is an animated and passionate teacher who has delivered courses across Australia along with invited sessions in Dubai, Japan, and London. Charlie’s courses are delivered through highly interactive sessions that are grounded in real life conditions.
